Privacy Policy

We collect only what we need to operate the service:

• Account info: your name, email address and a securely hashed password — provided by you at signup.
• Payment info: Razorpay processes your card or UPI directly. We receive only the order ID, payment ID and signature for verification — we never see or store your card numbers, CVV or UPI PIN.
• Usage data: standard server logs (IP address, user-agent, timestamps) and a record of which notes you view or download.
• Cookies:a session cookie used to keep you logged in. We don't use third-party advertising cookies.

We use the information above to:

• Provide access to the notes you have purchased.
• Verify and record payments and subscription status.
• Embed a per-user watermark on every PDF you view or download.
• Send transactional emails (account, payment, subscription expiry).
• Protect the platform from fraud and copyright violations.

We rely on a small number of trusted vendors. Each only receives the data needed to perform its function:

• Supabase — managed Postgres database, authentication and file storage. Hosts your account record, subscription history and the PDF originals.
• Razorpay — payment processing. Handles your card or UPI transaction directly.
• Hosting provider — runs the application servers that respond to your requests.

We do not sell or rent your data. We do not share it with advertisers.

Every PDF you view or download is stamped with your email address as a watermark on each page. This deters and traces unauthorised distribution. The watermark is generated at request time using data from your authenticated session — it is not shared with anyone outside our systems.

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. After you delete your account, we retain payment and subscription records for up to 7 years to meet Indian tax and accounting requirements. Server logs are rotated and deleted within 90 days.

You can ask us to:

• Access or export your personal data.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Delete your account and associated data (subject to retention above).

We use Row-Level Security in our database, encrypted connections (HTTPS), salted and hashed passwords, and the service-role key is restricted to server-side code only. No system is ever 100% secure, so please keep your password strong and unique.

The platform is intended for students aged 11 and above (CBSE Classes 6–10). Users under 18 should use the service with a parent or guardian's permission.

We will update the "Last updated" date above when this policy changes materially. Significant changes will also be communicated by email.
